Mathematics Resources
Hello Parents! I recently ran across a website created by the Kentucky Center For Mathematics. It has many resources that we are using in our classroom. From arrow cards to hundreds charts to five and ten frames. If you like you can print these and work with your children at home (maybe they can teach you how we use them in class?).
This is optional of course. Currently we are working with five and ten frames. To use these print them out, cut each five or ten frame out. Then you can flash the (not too slowly) the ten or five frame to your child. They will then tell you how many dots they see on the frame. By working with five and ten frames it will strengthen your student's understanding of the number 10 and what numbers make 10.
Thank you to all parents who have volunteered this week. I greatly appreciate your help in the classroom. Have a great weekend!
